Manufacturing Links Event


On Wednesday 3rd July Eurocraft Enclosures hosted the latest Manufacturing Links Event - Finance for Manufacturers, What the banks don't tell you!

Chaired by Kevin O'Toole, CEO Eurocraft Enclosures, who kicked off the proceedings with a presentation highlighting the points for and against Confidential Invoice Discounting (CID).

After some intense group discussions the presentations continued, with Johnathan Dudley, National Head of Manufacturing Industry & Head of Professional Practices at Crowe Clark Whitehall LLP, providing an insight of how to keep a steady cash-flow with an increasing debtors lost.

The panel was completed by Santanders Regional Director of Business Development, Chris Hallam and Martin Baker, Regional Sales Director for Close Brothers Invoice Finance.
Who were on hand to provide advice on Invoice Discounting and Factoring and answer any questions relating to these issues, of which there were many.

Following the Q&A the agenda was completed by Martin Dudley, Managing Director of Thomas Dudley Ltd and Lowell Williams, Principle of Dudley College, who gave a presentation on a new venture for Dudley College and Partners. A brand new building, Dudley Advance, with the opportunity to bring the college and employees closer together.

Express & Star Newspaper Article - Green Shoots in Black Country

£50,000 to help your business: £1.4m in Express & Star fund for local firms

A £1.4 million fund for businesses to create jobs in the Black Country was being officially launched today by the Express & Star and the University of Wolverhampton.
Grants worth up to £50,000 will be offered to small and medium- sized companies who are struggling to get finance.
The Green Shoots Fund available to businesses operating within the Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell and Dudley council areas, promises mentoring from business experts to help firms get the most out of their funding.

BIS Manufacturing Summit


On Thursday 28th February Eurocraft exhibited a stand at the latest edition of the BIS Manufacturing Summit. Held at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire the summit brings together more than 200 manufacturing business leaders to discuss with government ministers on upcoming challenges and future steps forward for the manufacturing sector.
Eurocraft exhibited the NGA Cabinet, and alongside Brompton Dock and CHH CoNex a fully kitted Brompton Dock.

While the day was long and tiring for all those involved it was rewarding for all and was topped off with a visit from the Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Secretary of State for Business, Innovation & Skills Vince Cable.

Bringing Manufacturers Together

Tuesday 12th February’s Express & Star included an article within the Business & Finance section reporting on the success of Manufacturing Links.
Kevin O’Toole was joined by 2 members of the group to highlight the work the Manufacturing Links, supported by the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, is doing to assist manufacturing in the Black Country.
 

Manufacturing Link

 On Thursday 24th January The Black Country Chamber of Commerce presented the latest edition of Manufacturing Links, hosted by LEMA Academy at Dudley College Campus.
Manufacturing Links in the Black Country is a group of Chamber of Commerce members, focusing on the needs of manufacturing companies in the SME market.
Setup to collect the views of manufacturers, and their requirements, feed them back to the Chamber and then enable the Chamber to deliver this to manufacturers in the Black Country area.

Chaired by Black Country Board Member, and Eurocraft MD, Kevin O’Toole, this latest edition concentrated on the area of Social Media and how this can be utilised by its members.
The session opened with a brief introduction by Kevin O’Toole followed by group sessions each chaired by a steering group member. This was followed up by a passionate example of innovative success by Stan Ceney of Clarkwood Engineering.
